Cannabis contains dozens of terpenes, which is why the flowers from this plant have such a rich variety of aromas and flavors. Terpenes aren’t unique to cannabis. They consist of a large group of hydrocarbons found in the essential oils of numerous plant species, particularly conifers and citrus trees. Among the primary cannabis terpenes, terpineol can be more difficult to detect than some of the others.
