The Marijuana Addiction Test

Am I a Marijuana Addict? NO!

Weed isn’t addictive. Neither is porn, food or anti-depressants. Guns don’t kill people, people do. Marijuana isn’t addictive but some people have addictive personalities. Are you a weed addict? Of course not! Well, actually, only you can answer this question. This may not be an easy thing to do. All through our usage, we told ourselves, “I can handle it.”. Pot promoters are telling us cannabis is not addictive and not harmful.

Alcohol and tobacco use have been normalized despite their harmful effects. When cannabis is normalized to the extent that alcohol and tobacco has been then perhaps the costs on health and society will become clearer. Until the data is in, the smell of profit is in the air and the road to normalization of weed has begun with pushers in suits with their friends on Wall Street and in government tax troughs to support them.

The new slavery is with new chains

The cannabis industry and cannabis promoters and corporate cheerleaders celebrate the benefits and natural harmlessness of cannabis. They tell us it is not addictive. They tell us how alcohol and tobacco are much worse and cause more deaths and hardship on society. Alcohol and tobacco have been wreaking havoc on the physical and financial health of citizens in the modern age for a very long time and cannabis has not had the same damaging effects on the physical , mental and financial health of society. People could argue that this is because alcohol and tobacco have been legal for decades and corporate entities controlled by the 1% have been promoting them and selling them as much as possible through media control and monopolies on the system we live in. When cannabis is legalized and controlled by big corporations who sell and promote it for profit there may be an equalization of the playing field compared to alcohol and tobacco. When glossy magazines, stock markets and big tobacco interests start to see a new product to push they will gladly do so.

Only time will tell how legalization and mass retail promotions will play out. It may take years before we know what legalization and retailing of cannabis will do to society. The corporate interests and the 1% who are running the show will profit no matter what the results are. Cannabis is another product to them. Once they can change the image of the stereotypical pot smoker in the mind of the world they can get more people to use it and we all know how corporate interests and greed have affected industries by improving production and distribution and encouraging use for profits.

No-one promotes and sells a product for benign reasons.

A product that can be geared to regular use and repeated use will be marketed and branded to attract users.

Wearing a suit and tie and paying taxes doesn’t make a pusher any less of a pusher. If they are selling it they want you addicted to the product no matter what it is. When cannabis and weed become like a Big Mac or Air Jordans, the puppet-masters know that they can make anything addictive no matter how benign it appears.

A product like cannabis that changes the brain is the perfect tool for their Brave New World where they can inoculate more and more of the population with their product.

So you smoke weed and there is no way to become addicted. Even if this was true in the beginning, is it the same now or will it be in 10 years after regular use. Food isn’t addictive but people get addicted to food. Porn isn’t addictive but people get addicted to porn. iPhones aren’t addictive but people are addicted to iPhones. These “non-addictive” concepts and things start controlling us. We lived consume and consume to live. Very simply, an addict is a person whose life is controlled by their own behavior.

The groups who are now telling us cannabis is not addictive are using the same playbook as the tobacco industry and the alcohol industry and the gun industry who are vehemently opposed of anything that gets in the way of profits.

Perhaps you admit you have a problem with Marijuana , but you don’t consider yourself an addict. All of us have preconceived ideas about what an addict is. There is nothing shameful about being an addict once you begin to take positive action. The following questions are based on questions written by recovering addicts in Narcotics Anonymous.

If you have doubts about whether or not you’re an addict, take a few moments to read the questions below and answer them as honestly as you can.

“Am I a Marijuana addict? If i substitute the word Marijuana for another person, place or thing in my life is there a pattern?” This is a question only you can answer. We found that we all answer a different numbers of these questions “Yes.” The actual number of “Yes” responses wasn’t as important as how we felt inside and how addiction has affected our lives.

Anything can be addictive, anyone telling you otherwise is trying to sell you something. It’s up to you to lead your own life or to follow the herd.
